Mint's Charming System Down Page

I like to look over my Mint.com account late at night. It’s actually somewhat relaxing for me. So tonight I was surprised to see this charming little ”down for maintenance” screen.

However I shouldn’t have been.

Mint is a company which has taken something boring (money management) and made it interesting with great design, even down to the little details like this.

Now instead of getting frustrated and shaking my fist like I usually do when met with a system down page (I’m looking at you, capitalone.com!), I can relax and smile - returning to obsess over my pennies tomorrow night, of course.
